We'd prefer our lubricant stayed inside your machines, but when they don't, we've got you covered.

OptimOil is known for premium quality oils, lubricants and greases, but there is plenty more sitting behind the range.
When you work closely with farms, fleets, workshops, contractors and plant operators, you quickly learn that the products people need do not always fit neatly into the obvious categories. Of course, lubricants remain at the heart of what we do, but keeping machinery working involves plenty of other everyday products too.
Some of those products come from regular requirements. Others come about because a dealer or customer asks us, "Can you get hold of this as well?" If it is useful, commercially sensible and helps make life easier for the people maintaining equipment, it is a conversation worth having.
Our cleaning and spill control consumables are a good example. They are not complicated products and they are not trying to be. They are simply practical things that are good to have around when you need them.
We'd Still Rather the Lubricant Stayed in the Machine
An engine oil is considerably more useful inside an engine than it is on the workshop floor. The same applies to hydraulic oil, transmission fluid, gear oil and grease.
Unfortunately, real working environments are not always that cooperative. Oil gets spilled during servicing, hydraulic connections leak, containers get knocked, components come off covered in grease and workbenches inevitably need cleaning down. It is simply part of maintaining hard-working machinery.
That is why we have added some straightforward, cost-effective cleaning and spill control products that can sit alongside your usual lubricant order.
The current range includes White Cotton Sheet Wipes, Mixed Colour Cotton Wipes and Industrial Spill Granules, each suited to slightly different jobs around workshops, garages and industrial environments.
The White Cotton Sheet Wipes are cotton-rich, soft and very low linting, making them suitable for cleaning, absorbing, staining and polishing applications where a cleaner finish is important. The Mixed Colour Cotton Wipes provide a more general-purpose option. Made from recycled clothing, they are absorbent, washable and reusable, making them useful for the everyday cleaning and wiping jobs that happen constantly around machinery.
And then there are the occasions when the lubricant makes a slightly bigger bid for freedom.
Our clay-based Industrial Spill Granules are designed to quickly absorb oil, lubricants and general liquid spills. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, they are a simple way of helping manage spills, reduce slip hazards and keep working areas clean and operational.
The Products You Don't Think About Until You Need Them
Consumables are easily overlooked because they are rarely the biggest or most technical purchasing decision a workshop makes. Until you run out.
A spill does not wait patiently while somebody goes looking for absorbent material. A dirty component does not become any cleaner because the last bag of wipes disappeared three weeks ago. And stopping a job to go and find basic workshop supplies is time that could have been spent getting the machine back to work.
That is where these relatively small additions can make good commercial sense. If you are already ordering lubricants, greases and fluids, adding useful consumables to the same order can help keep the workshop prepared without creating another purchasing job.
It is not about filling shelves with products you do not need. It is about having the right things available when you do need them.
There's More Behind the OptimOil Range
One of the things customers do not always see is the breadth of products sitting behind OptimOil.
Not every product or sourcing capability can be captured by a catalogue or represented by the obvious ranges people associate with us. Our dealers and end users work across agriculture, construction, transport and industrial applications, and that naturally creates a wide variety of requirements.
Sometimes those requirements are highly technical. Sometimes they involve finding the right lubricant for a particular machine, operating condition or stage of its working life. Other times, somebody simply needs a useful workshop product and asks whether we can supply it.
That relationship works both ways. The more we understand about what our end users actually need, the better we can support our dealer network in supplying practical solutions.
We do not believe in adding products simply to make a range look bigger. If something earns its place, it should be because it solves a genuine problem, represents sensible value and makes the customer's job easier.
There When You Need Them - Just Like the Team Behind Them
That is really what these consumables are about.
You probably will not think about your bag of wipes every morning. You certainly should not need to have a technical meeting about your spill granules. You just want them to do their job, represent good value and be sitting there when the situation calls for them.
We think support should work in much the same way.
When you have a lubrication question, an unusual application or a product you are struggling to identify, there should be somebody available to help. Our technical team can work through the machinery, specification, operating conditions and application to help identify an appropriate solution.
Sometimes the answer is straightforward. Sometimes it requires a deeper look at specifications, base oils, additive technology, service requirements or how the machine is actually being used. And sometimes the question is simply, "Can you get us this?" - Ask us.
Being useful to our end users means looking beyond what is written on the front page of the catalogue.
Practical Products. Sensible Value.
Whether we are talking about a drum of engine oil or a bag of workshop wipes, the underlying thinking remains the same.
The product needs to do the job properly and the price needs to make commercial sense.
We do not believe value is simply about finding the lowest price. Equally, paying more than necessary does not automatically produce a better result. The sensible decision sits where the required performance and the right price meet.
Performance × Price = The Optimum Choice.
So yes, we'd prefer our lubricant stayed inside your machine.
But when it doesn't, we've got the clean-up covered.
And when you need something else for the workshop, the machine or the next slightly unusual application, ask your OptimOil dealer. You might be surprised by what else is sitting behind the range.
